View Full Version : [ubuntu] Downgrading nautilus in Hardy?

I'm fairly new to Ubuntu. I have hardy 8.04.
The problems with nautilus, gvfs and browsing samba shares on Microsoft SBFS are quite annoying, and it seems very difficult to fix. When I read the bug reports both for ubuntu and for gnome, there does not appear to be much hope of an solution.
Noting that Debian still has not released Nautilus 2.22 even to "unstable" (presumably for these reasons) I wonder if there is a safe way to downgrade Nautilus in hardy to 2.20, where there are no problems.
