Threaded display mode?

Who uses the threaded display mode? i just dont understand - its so limiting and time consuming - only seeing one post at a time.

do YOU use it? WHY :confused:

I cant stand using it but I think it is kept their for people with slower connections. For them it is very annoying to load the entire thread just to see what it is about. This way you can check the first post to see if it is interesting and then load more as you need it.
