Some Apps wont run after upgrade

I recently upgraded to 8.04 and several of my apps fail to run, they do nothing and give no errors when I try and launch them from the cmd line. All I get is a blinking cursors.

one uses csh so I tried uninstall and reinstall and I received a bunch of
scrollkepper C parser errors?

They are trying to make a new and improved O/S that will not run the applications :(

Same experience that I have had.
