View Full Version : [ubuntu] Possible QT4 bug affecting text editing boxes

Hello

I need help on the following:

The 1.10 version of Vym had a bug that was solved in version 1.12.
Since there is no ubuntu package for version 1.12 I had to compile it from source. However compiling in Hardy AMD46 produces code with a strange behavior in which the text editing boxes open without keeping the previous text content. This leads to undue difficulties in using that very useful program.

This behavior does not occur in 32 bit versions of ubuntu (I tried and they work OK), and I was informed that the behavior does not occur either in other non-ubuntu AMD64 distributions.

So, it looks that this could be due to some bug of QT4 in Hardy AMD64.
Does anyone has experienced similar problems in QT4 programs and knows about a solution?
OR
Is it possible to add another QT version together with the regular QT4 and force the compiler to use it? - this would allow testing of the QT4 bug hypothesis at least.

Thanks in advance
