Kubuntu Gutsy
Hardy was too unstable for me when it was released. I'd give it another go, except that I am on dialup until August.

Yep, I go to Cornell :) I managed to get some friends on Hardy there. Sometimes in lecture, I see a cube rotate.....always good to witness :guitar:

My laptop has 8.04 off-and-on.

I was that way until a couple months ago. What about ShipIt? That's what got me into Ubuntu in the first place, when I was on dial-up at the time.

Just vote for what you mostly use, then mention the others in the comments (if you want.:))
Erratum: sorry for spelling Hardy as "Hary". I just can't find a way to fix it. RTFM, as they say. :)

3 x Xubuntu Hardy with e17. (Using the OzOS 32 bit installation or Rui Pais Desktop metapackages) I too found Hardy probematic until a month or so ago. 8.04.1 seems very complete and stable.
My wife uses Hardy Ubuntu.
