I have browsed the forum and I can't find the answer I want.
I have Win2k installed on the first partition of a disk with 3 partitions. The 2nd partition has some windows apps on it and I would like to install Ubuntu on the third partition.
I want to be able to dual boot the machine. I have worked out that I need to select the advanced options button on one of the install dialogues and that I need to install the boot loader.
My question is where?
The default installation appears to be hd0. Will this do?
As a vaguely competent newbie I must admit to finding the Linux install process far from easy and straightforward.
