Hi guys,

I have a x61 Tablet and I really wanna use some touch capabilities.

I found out about MID and would like to see how it would work out on my tablet.

How can I go about installing it?

Right now, i'm downloading the KVM image and I'm going to run it as a VM to see what happens. How do the other 2 .img work? Do I just put it onto a USB? How can I make my USB bootable from there?

i downloaded the kvm image; how do i proceed?

I tried running the script that came with the tarball, but it says:

"open /dev/kvm: No such file or directory
Could not initialize KVM, will disable KVM support
Ubuntu does not support running KVM without hardware acceleration. Sorry.
"

Any help would be much appreciated!

Now, after reading your post, I'm hoping to do the same... but I'm still waiting for my x61 to come so I can try this out. I'll post if I come to any solutions.

Well, I think the best thing to do would be to download the wacom package in development that supports touchscreens... at least until MID is simpler to install for tablets (unless Canonical develops a substitute, or integrates MID's touchscreen functions into the main Ubuntu OS--I'm giving up on MID, for now).
