Second Ubuntu install. Formatted hard drive and new install from scratch. Have a few challenges but first one is display. NV5 [RIVA TNT2/TNT2 Pro] rev 15 VGA adapter. When it boots into 1024 x 768 X-session the 'top'& 'bottom' of the window is about 2/3 of the way down the screen and it wraps around. I can mouse off the bottom of the screen and come in from the top. Downloaded NVIDIA Accelerated LINUX Driver and tried to run it, manual says "In addition you should set your default run level so you will boot to a vga console and not boot directly into X ... normally done by modifying your /etc/inittab file)"

Can't find such a file. Please help.

This looks great. BUt I seem to have created trouble for myself at install by naming the host. Now whenever I use the "sudo" command it comes back with an error 'cannot resolve host ...'

Thanks - Canuck
