View Full Version : [ubuntu] Automatix gone?

I've found tons of sites telling me how to install automatix2. However, when I follow the instructions, I get "404 not found" messages. After checking the "[URL="http://www.getautomatix.com/"]" site, it appears to be a placeholder instead of an actual website. Is Automatix gone?

From what I know Medibuntu is probably what you shoule be using now instead of Automatix.

I believe automatix was causing a lot of trouble because it was messing with the system in ways it shouldnt. I think the automatix developers worked with ubuntu developers to get their application to not break systems and then they just merged it into the standard ubuntu install so it doesnt need to be installed through the repositories. Im not 100% on this but I think im pretty close. Feel free to correct me.
