I have been faced with the inability to boot from ubuntu live cds newer than Dapper Drake or so for many months. They always drop to busybox after scanning the floppy drive 500 times. I've read many workarounds to this problem and none of them work for me; boot parameters, bios manipulation, nothing works.
I'm just curious, would booting from a live USB help me out at all? I have a feeling it doesn't matter what medium I use... :(
