Is there a way to install Ubuntu from a Live Session user without HAL? This is after WUBI has installed the ISO and is booting into the "Live CD" off the hard drive. // I don't have access to a cd-burner.

I've tried manually restarting HAL and DBUS, but have had no luck. I've read quite a few threads and nothing has worked.

I am unable to restart Ubuntu effectively, since all changes are erased, it's a live cd session.

This HAL thing is a bit convoluted. I tried ALL the work arounds I found. I was able to get another machine up and running that never "Failed to Initialize HAL". Ubuntu works fine on it, but I settled on a Debian + XFce install for a development workstation!

With that said the Ubuntu HAL problem exists only on my ASUS P4B266 based pc, it has the Intel 845 chipset. Maybe Intel is not playing nice here, I dunno.

Happy Linuxing folks.
