Hi folks,

I've written this little program in perl that allows you to check the integrity of your files even if they are moved and/or renamed.

For a complete explaination of what it does, please visit:
http://mtuxland.blogspot.com/2008/07/shaone-097-deb-beta-english.html (http://mtuxland.blogspot.com/2008/07/shaone-097-deb-beta-english.html)

Please note that the program is in BETA version at the moment and that it comes WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY!

I you have suggestions, ideas or questions, please drop me a comment, I will be happy to have feedback and it will let me come up with a better program!

Hope it will be useful,
Marco

Any chance you can post the source code?

Do you want to improve it, or do you just want to know if it's under the GPL? I will use it anyway, if it's handy :)

It is actually released under gpl v2 and, since it is perl, I've just avoided binarizing it. The file is installed in /usr/local/bin and the name is ShaONe, if you want to see the source, just gedit it and you'll have the whole source. :)

Both :D I am trying to learn PERL and the easiest way to learn a new language I often find is to use a real world example. That gives it better context ;)
