View Full Version : [gnome] Keyring locked despite automatic login

For a faster boot, I've decided to set up an automatic login in GDM. However, the Gnome keying screen (explicitly for the Network Manager startup) appears and prompts me for my password on login. As you can probably guess, this defeats the purpose of an automatic login and takes too long for the wifi to get set up after logging in for the automatic login to be of any use as far as quick web browsing goes.

Is there any way for the keyring unlock to be forgone? I know it's a security thing, so I don't want to remove it. I am also aware of the whole pam-keyring setup (how Ubuntu automatically unlocks the keyring through GDM's non-automatic login by default).

Thanks for any help in advance.
