Hi, it's the poxy laptop again. Samsung Q45, 3 GB ram, 330GB HD with a T2800 cpu. It came installed with
vista. The HD had 3 partitions. 10G EISA recovery, 290 Vista and a 30G system restore. I can't get any distro to boot apart from the alternate Kubuntu which installs and won't boot. I deleted everything and tried to install. Again it won't boot. I'd thought it was the EISA partition which stopped the boot but no. I just don't know what else to do. Would there be a BIOS setting which only allows win to boot? I'd like a small, 30G Vista bit for my walkman and PDA but I'm prepared to do that elsewhere if necessary but I am truely stumped. Never come across a machine where I can't install a distro. Help please. Samsung support aren't worth the email.
Steve.
PS, won't boot any live CD's.
