Hi
I ve been recently struggling too much with ubuntu as i am new fan for ubuntu.

I started with basic stuff as setting up yahoo messenger.After long internet surf; it 's been recommended to use gaim but i figured out it doesnt support voip or web-cam.

I found some adds on http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=102676 for gaim but unfortunatlely i will alz have
"hecking for gstreamer-0.8 >= 0.8 gstreamer-control-0.8 >= 0.8 gstreamer-interfaces-0.8 >= 0.8... configure: error:
*** GStreamer is required to build Gaim; please make sure you have the
*** development headers installed. The latest version of Gst is
*** always available at http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/.
root@ubuntu:/home/mahmoud/Desktop/gaim-vv-1.2.0# "

i used synaptic package manager to install Gstreamer but i still have this irritating output as i ./configure adds on.

I would appreciate more friendly way to have voip on my yahoo account.

Thanks for your patient reading my long post

Voip is coming to Pidgin (formerly known as gaim) this summer.

The thing is all my friends know this account and i would like to have it work. I do believe there is away to have this voip if we proudly could say that Linux distributions got all applications against our old fellow MS

Wish any post helping me on this

Thanks;
