Does anyone know how to capture stuff from the flash player or quick time?
I do school online but I have to have internet access to watch class as a review or just to re watch a class. I think it would be great if some one knew of a way to capture the movies. I looked online for a way but poeple use windows (with programs you have to buy). Please let me know ASAP.:guitar: time is ticking:guitar:

It should be in the /tmp directory.

vlc media player is capable of playing flash video files. you can find it in the repositories through synaptic and you can read up on it here: videolan.org (http://www.videolan.org).

EDIT: you could also try the mediaplayerconnectivity extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/446) in firefox. together with vlc, you should be able to get the files you need.

After the video is loaded, go to /tmp/ and find the file with the first letter "F", at least, it is that in Opera.

Some programs need file extensions. VLC doesn't and will play them fine.

ok I tried both VLC and the fire-fox extension. With the VLC I get this error
"Unable to open 'file:///tmp/orbit-matthew/linc-2268-0-539c4555a835d'"
With the fire-fox extension I get this error. "LAVF_header: av_open_input_stream() failed"
I am trying to get the stuff off of www.vtc.com. Could they be preventing it some how?
