hello,
i have an old compaq PC without CD rom so I used an IDE to USB adaptor.
the cd has no defect, it has been checked.
the bios recognized my CD rom as a "USB-HDD", so i made it set to first boot sequence.
unfortunately, the computer wouldn't bother reading the disc even though it was told to boot from that CD rom.
i want to know if there's another way to install Ubuntu. i don't have a 4GB USB pen drive...what about LAN install? how should i do it if that works?
