View Full Version : [ubuntu] Problems on apt-get & synaptic

I don't know why, but my computer keeps freezing up every time I use either apt-get or the Synaptic Package Manager, and after each I have to do a hard reboot on my system... It's not X though, since I can't even restart it. It just randomly freezes up. :confused:

type in terminal: dmesg

it should show any faults or problems..
or you could try searching the /var/log/ directory

You could try some of the boot options:

i.e. pci=noacpi

Play around with a variety of them :)
