View Full Version : [ubuntu] 8.04 gnome theme misbehaving after upgrade

Upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 and the desktop theme is messed up -- by messed up I mean it changed from 'Human' to some other ClearLooks type of theme. When I run gnome-appearance-properties it takes 100% of the CPU and all of the theme thumbnails shows a large dark question mark? I tried to reinstall various theme packages but I already know that probably isn't the problem since all of the files are in /usr/share/themes/*.

First update your system using update manager. This may fix it automatically.
