Does anyone else ever notice this bug in Ubuntu?

I noticed this for a while now, at first I thought I was just imagining it, but now I know for certain. Sometimes when I delete things, my hard drive space gets smaller.

Today I had 87.6 GB free space. I cleared out a folder with a game (quakeworld) and countless other things (pictures, install packages, etc) and now I have 86.0 GB free.

do you clear your trash folders / recycle bin regularly.

for me, the space doesnt free up till i've done this, but i've never seen deleting files REDUCE free space

Try emptying the trash.

I do empty the trash.. lol
