Hello, I'm on Hardy 804.

How do I set it to boot from the CD Rom?

Thanks

When you boot your computer, look for something that says "Boot Options" or "Boot from..." it differs on every computer. On my laptop I have to press F12 but on my desktop it's F7. Your computer may even boot automatically if it senses bootable media in the drive.

It might take you a few restarts to catch what you have to press.

Thanks Stones,

But it doesn't seem to work. Can't see anything except press F8 for BBS popup.

Does it have anything to do with my desktop being Ubuntu installed originally without Windows?

In fact, I'm trying to install Windows XP for dual OS feature.

No, it doesn't. Try esc, del, and F2. One of those buttons usually will get you into the BIOS.

Thanks y'all! You were a real help.

Got it! I had to press F8 like it says. I just have a funky keyboard - I didn't know I had to lock the F function first.
