dual boot (ubuntu/xp)+ reinstall xp partition = grub dissapear

xp partition and an ubuntu partition both bootable from grub,

inevitably windows dies and needs to be reinstalled, so i reinstalld xp over its own partition, but no more grub, meaning no more ubuntu.

how do i get grub back.

p.s i dont keep urgent files on my pc.
