i want to install UBUNTU 8.04 server edition in GUI mood.not in command prompt. how can i install in GUI version instead of command base version.i want to install it like XP or SERVER 2003 in graphical mood not in command prompt.how can i do that.

a:
download an 8.04.1 Ubuntu server edition cd, install the system, once you are into your base CLI only system, type
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
subsitute kubuntu-desktop if you want kde
and xubuntu-desktop if you want xfce

b:
just download the 8.04 Ubuntu Desktop edition cd, it's not much different really

Don't think there is a way. If you want something to be so much like XP, isn't it more reasonable to actually use XP?
