I hope this is the right place.
I installed blender recently. But .blend files have a sort of new file icon.
I know how to change icon for one file.
But how do i get all blend files to have the blender icon...
I tried putiing a blender icon file in
/usr/share/icons/gnome/mimetypes/scalable/gnome-app-blender.svg or something like that... It didn't help.

Try searching for the icon it currently uses in your icon them and change it to the one you want.

I'll try tht. But it may screw up my text files which also seem to have the same 'new file' icon.

Thanks the links you gave were very helpful.
At first they didn't work (the persons in those posts also said that).
But then while trying to update-icon-cache I found update-mime-database and it all seems to be working now...
