Fresh from migration from 7.10 to 8.04 - hands still shaking :) After the reboot md raid partition made of /dev/sd[a-d]1 failed to mount. When I tried to mount it manually mdadm told me that /dev/sda1 is not a raid partition and indeed it wasn't - it was /boot. DAMN!!!! But all ended well, 8.04 just rearranged ata devices. I have 1 IDE and 4 SATA drives, in 7.10 they were /dev/hda and /dev/sda-sdd, in 8.04 /dev/hda became /dev/sda, /dev/sda became /dev/sdb and so on, so my raid moved to /dev/sd[b-e]1. Not a nice trick to play.

Another strange thing: I am using ubuntu converted to kubuntu. Upgrade utility recognized my system as kubuntu but when installation was about to end it suggested to remove some 247 unneeded packages like kde-core and others mostly kde. I didn't let it do it. I wonder what would've happened if I did...
