Right now, I have kubuntu with KDE on my computer. However, I would like to install GNOME. Installing ubuntu-desktop from repositories is not really an option for me, as I have rather limited bandwidth. Fortunately, I have an ununtu installation CD (also 8.04) so I was hoping to install from the CD. I added the cd into my repository list, but after searching (I used Synaptic, as I am used to it, I dislike Adept) I found no gnome or ubuntu-desktop package on the CD.
I'm rather new to linux (only a few months) so I have no idea what to do now. I was hoping to have both KDE and GNOME for a while and maybe XFCE later (just to try it out). How do I install GNOME from my ubuntu CD, to avoid downloading it?

Thanks in advance.
