I have a problem when i try to boot Ubuntu 8.04 dual-booting with Vista 32-bit:
Everytime i try to boot and it's loading on the black screen the bar goes up to full but for a split second the Logo & the bar turn into random colours and then instead of loading into the login screen it shows me the terminal/console(black screen) with
some code with (intramfs) in it:(.

thanks if you can help!:)

Hi and welcome, have you been able to boot into Ubuntu or is this a new install?
Can you give us some system specs?

This a new install but I can run Ubuntu on another computer and it's fine.I'm running a Q6600 with 3gb of RAM and an ATI hd 2600 pro graphics card. The computer is running an OEM edition of vista from Acer.
