I want to use the theme installer for another user (wife) on my laptop.

I have it on my account ( I have the root password ) but its not on other accounts, nor is the 'add packages' or 'synaptics package manager'.

Also, even though I have 'extra visual effects' working on my account, it wont work on my wifes account for some weird reason.

How can I allow her to have the same rights to install/remove packages as I have ?

Thanks

You have to first of all, check the Administer the System option for your wife's account. If she doesn't know the root password, she cant use it. Also, if you have compiz running on your account and you don't logoff but switch user, you cant have compiz on her's too (seems to be a bug)
