Hello

Could somebody recommend where I can get some wallpaper as I'm getting a bit fed up with looking at brown stuff?

Cheers

I suggest you take a look at http://gnome-look.org

To give you an idea how your desktop can look:

If you need help customizing, use the link in my signature called "guide to customizing ubuntu".

The sites tamoneya posted are good. Another good idea is to think of something you like/would like as a wallpaper then do a google search of "<topic> wallpaper". I find myself doing that a lot.

Interfacelift (http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/date/any/) is a great place to go for some really cool pictures. At the top you can sort by different things, or browse by category.

Interfacelift's wallpapers are all high quality, and most of them are in over 8 resolutions!

Look around Panoramio. Some people post great hi-res shots.
