help with kde

Hi i recently got the kde4 for Ubuntu and thought i would try it out.

every thing was fine but then the panel disappeared and i couldn't get it back so i went and looked up the problem and the closest thing i got to was to 'run' kicker and it came back but not as KDE 4.0 but as 3.5

is there any way you can change it from 3.5 to 4.0?

It should be kde4-kicker

i go to run then type kde4-kicker and nothings shows :S
