And also wont work, and even if it had a little merit would be kicked out in ANY court in the world, except maybe Guernsey as they are a bit mad down there!

That would be so scary. I want to keep my normal brain out of anyone's control but my control. I don't want voices in my head. I would like to think for myself.

If advertisers are allowed to use such equipment then I'm on the side of anyone who destroys and vandalizes such equipment.

I'm with you on this.

Though I dont' live in the United States, if I see such devices nearby my location, I will personally do anything to destroy and remove said devices.

God I hope that's a joke, though my termite senses tell me its not. They already have cell phones that work similarly in Japan, I've heard (not in my head only).

I'm quite sure this will be restricted to military use.

:)They'd have to turn it up pretty loud to drown out the voices I've already got in my head, QUIET.:)

Look at the benefits for people who've damaged there hearing with loud rock music.
You could still listen to your favourite bands. :guitar:

I've told you people before, tinfoil hats don't work (http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/)! Those who claim they do are part of the conspiracy.

That's just more FUD. Of course tinfoil hats work. It's just that the tinfoil has to enclose the brain on all sides, not just the top, left, right, front and rear.

On a more practical level (and before proceeding with more drastic measures), you might want to try a tinfoil suit first.

I always shape my tinfoil hats like a pyramid, just like Sun Ra and his Arkestra.

If something like this were ever legal in the US, then I will have to loose faith in all of humanity (mostly those populating the US)...

that would be pretty scary if it actually worked, but i hope goverments realize that would be crossing the line of HUGE INVASION OF PRIVACY

if you cant even be private in your own mind, there is really nothing left.

also reminds me of the book farenheit 451.

Bah, that study is questionable, they say it's Reynolds wrap, yet the photo shows a Chef's Pride box. Sloppy. Very sloppy.

I actually don't think it's an invasion of privacy, because they can't see what you think (yet).

Couldn't this contraption thingumyjig be considered a subliminal advertising, which is at least illegal in the UK (I suspect the US too) for an advertiser to do? I'm more worried about what a government could do with something like that...

I'd say it's an invasion of privacy. It means there's not one place left in the world that the government or any organization cannot push its message into. Imagine if soda advertisements or war propaganda could be beamed into your bedroom without your consent; I imagine we could agree that would be an invasion of privacy, and I'd say the same with beaming signals into your mind, just moreso.

That doesn't mean that there aren't legitimate uses for this device, just that I'm very concerned about the illegitimate uses.
