Interesting article.
Take the cheapest Acer Aspire One.
Currently 219 (UK) with SSD and Linux it boots in 17 seconds.
The cheapest Xp version has a mechanical hard drive costs 279 and will take longer to boot, time as yet unknown because Acer have not released test samples of the Xp version.
So why spend 60 to get slower performance?
And why did Acer not also submit Xp versions for scrutiny by reviewers?
