I would like to create a ~3-hour track to aid in adapting to polyphasic sleep (http://groups.google.co.za/group/Polyphasic/web/what-is-polyphasic-sleep?hl=en)

Basically, the track should consist of 3hrs of binaural beats (which I'll generate with SBaGen, binaural beats software) then some silence, then a loud alarm mp3 or five from the internet.

My question: how can I combine these into one mp3? Also, how do I generate a 1-minute mp3 of silence?

Thanks VERY MUCH in advance for any help. :)

EDIT: I just realized that some sort of script could be used to play one mp3, wait a minute, then play some other mp3s. But how can I record all this into one mp3 for easy distribution?

my favorite tool for this is audacity. open the mp3s in audacity, then line up the tracks how you want them. export the whole thing in what ever format you want.
