I have a Soundblaster card which is broken (very stuttery sound) but which I keep installed only because it has a Firewire port which I find useful. With Windows XP I can disable the Soundblaster using Hardware Manager and use the Realtek ALC850 on the motherboard. When I installed Hardy it is using the Soundblaster. How can I configure it to use the onboard Realtek?

Ok solution found:)

System > Preferences > Sound and just tried all the Sound playback options until I found one that worked. It did lock up several times though :(
