Hi

I am currently running Ubuntu 8.04 and am well pleased with it, having installed it on the entire free space of my HD after a Windows XP crash (yes, I know it's hard to believe). But for my studies I'm going to need Windows XP as well so am going to install a larger HD and would like to run a dual boot system.
Can you tell me, please, the best method i.e. Ubuntu first or Windows, plus the correct or rather, the most tried and tested method for a successful dual boot install, or am I simply asking to enter a world of pain?

Thank you,

Best is Windows first; Ubuntu last. If using two drives; is best to have 2 SATA or 2 IDE. Mix is not as good.

Thanks for the reply, pumalite. I'm not actually going to add a HD but replace the existing drive, so I won't be mixing them up.
Would I be pushing it to ask for directions to a definitive guide for a pain and trouble-free install of both systems on a new, clean HD?
