I would like to do the fancy graphics thing. Ive been trying for a good while and have now installed Ubuntu some four of five times. Fortunately the Ubuntu makers make that easy. I did accidentally delete xp on one of those occasions Ubuntu makers also make that easy (smile)...however I havent given up!

My details are:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: IBM Unknown device 052f
Flags: bus master, stepping, fast Back2Back, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 66, IRQ 11
Memory at e0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
I/O ports at 3000 [size=256]
Memory at c0100000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at c0120000 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: <access denied>

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY
00: 02 10 59 4c 87 03 b0 02 00 00 00 03 08 42 00 00
10: 08 00 00 e0 01 30 00 00 00 00 10 c0 00 00 00 00
20: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 14 10 2f 05
30: 00 00 00 00 58 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0b 01 08 00

So probably for most of us beginners this dosn't make much sence but that too is something we get used to and after a while not making sence starts to make sence.

I tryed some program that is supposed to be to sort out all ATI graphics card by installing drivers for them (fglx) rings a bell from what it installed. Had me up half the night reinstalling.

love you all.
