Hi, Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to get the Brother DCP-117C printer working on a 64bit computer. I have downloaded the printer drivers from Brother but they only work for a 32bit computer.

Thanks,

Vadi

They should work (there are 32bit compatibility libraries installed). Does this faq help?

First, have you seen this? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BrotherDriverPackaging?highlight=(Brother) I didn't see your particular printer listed there, but is the driver downloaded from the Brother site contained in the list? If so, install via Synaptic.

If not, check the link that was posted by Vadi.

Thats brilliant guys I looked at both links and discovered that I needed to use the MFC-210C driver, once I downloaded it via synaptic, installed it and configured the printer it works.

Many thanks to you both.
