Occasionally when I run a game (no specific game) which has sound then close it and try run totem it will freeze.
So I then close that with "Force Quit" and from then on ANY application freezes too, even the terminal and "power button".
If I try logoff with ctrl+alt+backspace, it will simply freeze on a blank screen with the same background as the logon screen.
If I open an application, the window opens but the content of the window doesn't load (e.g. terminal window opens but there is no terminal box inside the window, just blank).
