Hello Everyone

I have just installed a dual boot Ubuntu and Vista on my Samsung R70 laptop, and all is good except the screens brightness is starting to get on my nerves.

The brightness applet doesn't seem to do anything at all and my Fn keys are fine for volume but do nothing for brightness.

Please can someone help

Many thanks

i install vista and ubuntu dual system.but i never come across the problem you met.My laptop is IBM T60P.everything is ok just like the windows except the thinkvantage key .
maybe you don't install the brightness adjusting feature.
just sudo apt-get update or add a feature of it .
