Hello. I'm new to Ubuntu so assume I don't know anything. I burned the Ubuntu 8.04 as the ISO as it says to do. I put it the PC, restart it, the Ubuntu logo shows up. I ran the disk integrity check, and it said it was fine. But when I finally hit install it says something like:

Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block (FOLLOWED BY RANDOM NUMBERS)
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block etc...

SQUASHFS error: Unable to read directory...cache...

2002 Windows XP
Athlon(tm)
1.26 Ghz
480mb RAM

Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

HI and when I see those errors it usually means a bad burn or ISO, you may try checksum and burn the cd as slow as possible.
