I have a Gateway Solo 9300 running 7.10 that I use as a media centre - there is a RCA connector for composite video output on the back of the laptop that I plug direct into a television to watch video files (I use the headphone output with a stereo adapter cable to get sound). The problem is that after Ubuntu has completed booting, I need to hit Fn-F3 three times for the video to output via the cable.

Is there any way to have a script execute on startup that will save me having to do this step?
