View Full Version : Opera 9.5 and Ubuntu Forums..

Is it me and does it load the forums insanely slow? I dont have the fastest pc (HP Pavillion 7920 with 384 MB Ram, Intel Celron processor) but it hangs it seems at least for me..Am i alone in this or do others experience this?

It's insanely fast for me using a slimmed-down Vector on a pretty decent box. I run it from a tarball - you could try that instead of installing the deb.

its wierd..this page is slow but others are lightning fast...one example: http://www.opera.com/

Have you tried running it from a tarball? And what distro is this on?

It will freeze during a loading of a page but finish loading the page as well.

Not at all.... I had to switch from firefox to Opera because of slow scrolling on some pages come to think of it.

It looks like it is just a slow response from the UF server.

If it were Opera, most sites would be slow.
