Ubuntu Touch Screen

I am considering install Ubuntu 8.04 on my Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC, but that is only if the Touch Screen in Ubuntu works well.

So before jumping out of the fry pan and into the fire, I'm asking the forums has anyone tried touch screen with Ubuntu?

Not touch screen, but I have a Wacom pen tablet that works perfectly (plug and work) with Ubuntu.
If it's made by Wacom, I'm willing to bet it will work.
