It is even lesser than I thought. :(
But glad that it is only being growing. :)

0.79% Linux market share.

I'm sure it's more than that.

I expect 1% at the end of the year.

What do they base their data on?

I'm sure they don't know about me.

Is this desktop market, server or all OSs...?

What do they base their data on?

"We use a unique methodology for collecting this data. We collect data from the browsers of site visitors to our exclusive on-demand network of live stats customers. The data is compiled from approximately 160 million visitors per month. The information published is an aggregate of the data from this network of hosted website statistics. The site unique visitor and referral information is summarized on a monthly basis. "

Huh, wonder if browsing through AdBlock+ is lowering the stats. >.>

Actually, what that .79% number tells me, other than .09% in one month (WOOOO!), is that I need to boot into KUbuntu more when I'm not gaming.

i don't like hitslink, they aren't transparent and they had some "sponsored" studies from Apple in the past.

w3counter is more accurate IMHO

2 Windows Vista 7.69%
3 Mac OS X 4.73%
4 Windows 2000 3.07%
5 Linux 1.95%
6 Windows 98 0.96%

anyway it doesn't matter how you look at it, our market share is growing :)

also i can't believe their Vista marketshare from hitslink, in just the first 2 months they had more market than linux as a whole

January, 2007 0.18%
February, 2007 0.93%
March, 2007 2.05%

net applications is just a piece of crap IMHO
