View Full Version : [ubuntu] could not play Flash player somewhere with Firefox3.0

I upgraded final Firefox3.0 from a old version 2.0.0.14, but i couldn't play Google Talk at main page iGoogle right now.. and it tips me install Flash player version 9 or higher, but i checked the state with this software package, it was installed, so, i double upgrade coursed this problem, so, i reinstalled package <flashplugin-nonfree> again. but all after that, it's do nothing with this problem. So, i created this thread. anyone could help me? please!:(

Do you have the 'gnash' package installed? I had this same problem, and then I unistalled gnash and the flash player worked just fine.

Use the Synaptic package manager (GNOME) or if your using KDE, Adept to search for and remove this package. After you are done doing this, see if you can then view flash content.

you may need xulrunner also for ff-3.0 to work fully

Hi, dude, i checked "gnash" package state under terminal, it's not installed.
Is any idea else?

If you have the flashblock add on installed, add *google.com to your flashblock whitelist, otherwise it will block the google talk gadget.
