Could you explain what do you mean with this links?

I don't use Automatix. I don't find it necessary. The links speak for themselves.

Honestly, you don't really need Automatix anymore. Or EasyUbuntu. Or anything similar to them. Ubuntu has tools to install the absolutely vital things which aren't free, like video drivers, and it's far from impossible to find instructions on installing basically everything Automatix did.

On top of that, Automatix wasn't the best piece of software, frankly. I wasn't sad when it ceased development, and I'm still glad it's gone.

Thank God that Automatix is gone. :-)

For 100 % multimedia support you can apply this simple how-to:

Step 1:

Step 2:

For hardy:
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

then

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get update

also something like:
sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2 ubuntu-restricted-extras

extras:
sudo apt-get install vlc mplayer smplayer skype acroread googleearth

there is also a google repo for picasa photo manager...

good luck
