Hi ,
I am recent convert to Ubuntu . I have a Core Duo laptop with 2 gig Ram with a win xp / vista/Ubuntu[hardy] triple boot .I want to access my windows xp through some virtual machine in Ubuntu and still want to be able to boot in it independently should I feel like . I found an article in
Ubuntu Forums > The Ubuntu Forum Community > Forum Archive > Main Support Categories > Desktop Environments> Making vmware use a pre-existing windows partition?
But it talks about a different subject of making a vm from existing partition and not using the existing partition
https://oopsilon.com/Running-a-Windows-Partition-in-VMware
Above article talks about the stuff I want but for Gentoo. Help from ubuntu pros will be really appreciated. I am new to Linux-world . Please have mercy on my soul :)
Key Answers that I am looking for ,
Which Virtual Machine to Use ?
How to configure the Virtual Machine ?
Thanks
Ani
