I finally got City of heroes working in wine, but the screen goes very messy when i click on a game window within the game, it is so bad that everything turns white as if the refresh is not working. i have searched the wine forums, and ubuntu forums, and have not found a post that mentions refresh rates or garbled screen trouble.
this problem is only there in city of heroes WOW and guild wars run very nice.

2 gig ram
nvidia 6800 ultra c/w 256meg on board
glxgears reports 12,000 fps
50fps with game running.
