It seems many people are having issues with the RTL8187B Wireless Card in Ubuntu, especially in Ubuntu Hardy Hereon. Here is the How To: RTL8187B in Ubuntu.

Just follow the instructions on that site and everything should work fine.

But thank you for spreading the solution.

Tom-d why would you wish to use windows drivers in our clean linux environment if could be avoided? Not to say its not a valid option.

Alternatively, you can send an email to wlanfae@realtek.com.tw and they will send you a working driver, with WEP, WPA etc.

Saves a *lot* of hassle.
