Hello there,

I got HP DV2810US laptop with ubuntu installed on it. First i bought Proxim ORiNOCO PC GOLD 8470-FC but then i realized that i have Express slot not PCMCIA slot. So I bought D-link DWA-643 Express card and now it's not detecting my hardware even though i tried Madwifi and someother stuff. After a few research, i found that BackTrack 3 supports D-Link DWA 643 so i tried using BT3 Live disk but it gives me only black screen after booting up from CD. Is that means my laptop doesn't support BT3? My disk is fine as it works on my friend's laptop. Basically, I want to do wifi h@ck stuff on this laptop using any linux OS (backtrack, susse, ubuntu, kubuntu...etc). Still i have both Wifi Net card and trying to figure out what should i do now. According to my experience on my friend's laptop, i know that Proxim ORiNOCO PC GOLD 8470-FC card works fine but my laptop doesn't have right slot for that. Any suggestion or idea will be appreciated. many thanks...
